your hosts, annabel & angus
After a career running a school boarding house, sharing our home with guests is second nature to us.
Both former athletes, we have used yoga, swimming and walking the Forest to sustain a healthy lifestyle and it is important for us to share this passion with others.
Angus retired from teaching after 30 years in 2021 and Annabel continues to work as an artist, recently being selected as an Olympian Artist for Paris 2024.

Annabel's family moved to Tiptoe Lodge from India in the 1930s. Whilst much of the house has since been modernised,
ma ny of the original features remain and
t here is a hint of yesteryear about the whole place.
We are not a luxury venue, instead you will find yourselves immersed in creativity, books, art, antiques and history. We provide a homely relaxed and characterful atmosphere in which to unwind and leave any troubles behind.
